We’re so glad you’re here! This page is designed to help you feel confident and prepared as you bring your little ones to UPPERROOM Kids. From check-in to drop-off, we’ve got all the details to make your first visit smooth, safe, and full of joy. 1. What to Expect
- We recommend arriving about an hour before service starts to help secure your child(ren)’s spot.
- Check-In begins at 8:45 AM and closes at 9:30 AM.
- When you arrive, please come to the check-in desk located inside the church lobby near the restrooms to get your child(ren) checked in.
- Children ages 6 months through 2nd grade participate in the first 20 minutes of worship with their families in the main service before being dropped off at 10:20 AM for Kids Church.
- Children worshiping in the front must be accompanied by a parent.
- Kids in 3rd through 6th grade enjoy their own dedicated UR Kids worship service and can be dropped off at 9:45 AM.
- To keep a safe and fun environment, we limit the number of kids per service. If we reach capacity, children are always welcome to stay in the sanctuary under parental supervision.
2. Age Groups
We receive children ages 6 months—6th grade, broken into the following groups:
- Non-Walking Nursery
- Walking Nursery
- Toddler
- PreK/Kinder
- Lower Elementary
- Upper Elementary
3. Check-In
- Check-In Opens: 8:45 AM
- Check-In Closes: 9:30 AM
- Check-in is located at the Kids Check-In Desk inside the church lobby near the restrooms. When you arrive, our team will gladly register your child(ren) and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
4. Drop-Off + Pick-Up
- Drop-Off Times:
- Nursery-Toddlers: 10:20 AM at the Kids Check-In desk
- 1st-2nd Grade: 10:20 AM upstairs in Classrooms 201 and 202
- 3rd-6th Grade: 9:45 AM in the Training Center (the white buidling located across the street from church)
- Drop-Off Times + Locations:
- Nursery-3's: 10:20 AM at the Kids Check-In desk
- 1st-2nd grade: 10:20 AM upstairs in Classrooms 201 and 202
- 3rd-6th Grade: 9:45 AM in the Training Center (the white buidling located across the street from church)
- Pick-Up Time:
- All children can be picked up at 12:00 PM

** Upon check-in, you will receive a pickup tag. This tag must be presented in order to pick up your child. Children will not be released without it.
5. What to Bring
- If your child is under the age of three, please consider bringing diapers, a change of clothes, and a bottle if needed. These items aren’t required but help ensure your child is as comfortable as possible.
6. Safety & Security
Your child’s safety is our highest priority. We’ve put the following systems in place, from volunteer screening to secure pickup, to give you peace of mind while they’re with us.
- All volunteers are screened, interviewed, and undergo background checks.
- Security guards are present on the premises at all times.
- A pickup tag is required to pick up your child(ren) to ensure your family’s safety.
- In case of an emergency, we will contact you via text.

Can siblings stay together?
Yes! We’re happy to keep siblings together when you let us know.
Can I stay with my child?
We understand it’s hard to say goodbye, but to help children engage fully, parents don’t stay in the classrooms unless they're serving.
What if I’m late?
We understand things come up! However, check-in closes promptly to ensure safety and smooth transitions. If you arrive after check-in closes, unfortunately, we won’t be able to check your child in for that service. We encourage you to arrive early so your child can fully participate and stay safe. We appreciate your understanding!
Do you have a room where I can nurse my child?
Yes! We have a comfortable Nursing Mothers’ room located in our Kids Hall. Just stop by the Kids Check-In Desk, and a team member will happily let you in and show you the way.
Yes! We’re happy to keep siblings together when you let us know.
